Kam Fung Restaurant
From outside Kam Fung Restaurant, it looks like any other old local tea house that serves noodles, sandwiches and drinks. However, Kam Fung is actually a steak specialist.
Yes, the layout of Kam Fung is rather old and cannot be compared with that of an American-style steak house, but the quality of its food is another matter. Kam Fung has over 20 years experience in preparing steak. The chefs have developed their own recipe for preparing the steak and the sauce and you can choose for your steak to be served in a hot pan. A full set meal usually comes with a soup, a main dish, rice or spaghetti and a drink and it only costs you around $60 - $80, depending on which kind of steak you order.

Tung Choi Street (Ladies Market)
Locals who are accustomed to some of the special nuances of traditional Cantonese cooking regularly frequent open-air eateries. All these eateries serve the distinctive casual street snacks of Hong Kong. Curry Fish Ball, Siu Mai, Shark's Fin Soup, Deep Fried Stuffed Eggplants, Tofu and Pepper, Steamed Rice Roll, Clay-Pot Puddings and Crispy Chinese Egg Puff are common snacks loved by both children and adults. Very economical, you need to pay as little as a few dollars to fill your stomach.
For tourists the name of some snacks can be misleading. For example, Siu Mai and Shark's Fin Soup found in these kinds of open-air eateries are totally different from those you have in a Chinese restaurant. Here Siu Mai is a little seasoned dough imitating the “real” Siu Mai, which is a dumpling with pork filling. Shark's fin Soup also looks and tastes very close to the “real” one, but instead of Shark's fin, green bean vermicelli is used.
